Electroweak corrections to vector-boson scattering

Abstract: We report on a recent calculation of the complete NLO QCD and electroweak corrections to the process pp → µ + ν µ e + ν e jj, i.e. like-sign charged vector-boson scattering. The computation is based on the complete amplitudes involving two different orders of the strong and electroweak coupling constants at tree level and three different orders at one-loop level. We find electroweak corrections of −13% for the fiducial cross section that are an intrinsic feature of the vector-boson scattering process. For diff… Show more

“…The past years have seen a serious effort to include these effects, up to NLO for the process of t t in the dilepton channel [24,25,26,27,28,22,23]. Very recently the hugely complex fully-offshell calculations of t t in the lepton+jets channel [29] and of t tj [30,31] at NLO-QCD have been completed.…”

“…We note here, that state-of-the art theoretical predictions at NLO in QCD with complete top quark off-shell effects included are also available for other processes at the LHC. Such effects, for example, have been incorporated for pp → tt [41][42][43][44], pp → tt j [45,46], pp → tt H [47], pp → ttγ [48] and for tt Z(Z → ν ν ) [49]. They have also been incorporated for the pp → ttbb process [50].…”
