Electrosteric colloidal stabilization for obtaining SrTiO3/TiO2 heterojunction: Microstructural evolution in the interface and photonics properties

Abstract: Researches on solids heterojunctions has proven to be an important field for technological applications due to synergism achieved by interface phenomena. In this work, we present an understanding of SrTiO 3 /TiO 2 interface and its effects on structural and microstructural characteristics, and relate them to photoluminescence properties of heterojunctions obtained by a simple method. It was observed that SrTiO 3 proportion directly influences the structural order-disorder, as observed by X-Ray diffraction, Ram… Show more

“…6 and Table 3 for all the samples. The band gap energy of pure NaSbSe 2 (1.21 eV) is higher than literature data (1.1 eV) [29], which is related to intrinsic defects obtained by different synthesis methods and conditions [38]. It can also be seen that the direct band gap of pure Sb 2 Se 3 sample is 1.15 eV in agreement with previous work [10].…”

“…Therefore, the oxygen vacancies are not the only cause of distortion. Other origins could be the confinement of acoustic phonons and the different grain size according to the study carried out by Amoresi et al [62]. Additionally, a relationship between the final thickness of the TiO 2 film and wavenumber of the E g (1) mode is observed.…”

“…A notable displacement of the E g(1) peak corresponding to the anatase phase is noticed because typically the E g (1) mode has been observed at 146 cm −1 (see figure 9(c)). This displacement is related to the existence of oxygen vacancies in the amorphous structure [62]. From PL characterization, it can be noted that the nanotubes had the least amount of self-trapped excitons and oxygen vacancies than the other nanostructures.…”
