“…An interesting occurrence in multicomponent plasmas is the relatively recent paradigm of supersolitary waves (SSWs), or supersolitons, distinguished by a characteristic distorted curly structure in their E-field pulse profile (Varghese et al 2024) It was initially postulated that a plasma model comprising a minimum of five constituent components was required for the formation of SSW structures by Dubinov & Kolotkov (2012a, 2012b. However, it was soon realized that these structures might occur in simpler plasma settings, e.g., in a three-component plasma consisting of positive and negative ions alongside Cairns distributed electrons, as shown by Verheest et al (2013), or in a three-component dusty plasma, as shown independently by Dubinov & Sazonkin (2013).…”
