Electrostatic Mechanism for Depolymerization-Based Poleward Force Generation at Kinetochores

Abstract: Experiments implicating bound volume positive charge at kinetochores interacting with negative charge at microtubule free ends have prompted our calculation of the force at kinetochores for chromosome poleward motility during mitosis.
