PPTQ Al-Falah Kota Malang merupakan PPTQ khusus perempuan, dimana semua santri merupakan santriwati. Seluruh kegiatan pada PPTQ Al-Falah dipusatkan pada aula yang digunakan untuk sholat berjamaah, setoran hafalan Al-Qur’an, dan tadaruz. Pada pelaksanaan sholat berjamaah timbul permasalahan tidak ada muadzin di dalam pondok pesantren. Sehingga pelaksanaan sholat berjamaah bergantung pada adzan dari masjid di sekitar PPTQ Al-Falah. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah dengan melaksanakan bimbingan teknis dan pengadaan instalasi pengingat waktu sholat otomatis. Bimbingan teknis terkait dengan komponen yang digunakan serta pengaturan jam digital pengingat waktu sholat otomatis. Selain itu juga dilakukan bantuan pengadaan jam digital pengingat waktu sholat otomatis. Hal ini ditujukan agar pelaksanaan sholat berjamaah PPTQ Al-Falah dapat dilaksanakan tepat waktu. Selain itu juga dapat meningkatkan penggunaan IT oleh santriwati PPTQ Al-Falah serta mendorong teraplikasikannya hasil kajian ilmu teknik elektro.

Design and Simulation of a Solar Tracking System for Optimum Energy Absorption

Nowadays the importance and dependence on solar power source is remarkably increasing as there is a strong need to have clean, cheap and renewable energy compared with other types of energy sources. In this paper, we present a complete design and analysis of an electronic circuit that can be used for optimum solar energy absorption and tracking. The proposed electronic circuit will accurately track the sun light and face the solar panel in the direction of maximum solar energy absorption. The presented design starts with an array of light intensity photo sensors (Light Dependent Resistor (LDR)) followed by a number of processing steps to finally deliver a suitable dc voltage for driving a dc motor, which is required to move and align the solar panel to the direction of maximum solar intensity. There is a continuous controlling and tracking functions using the light intensity information from the three photo sensors. The presented design is implemented using an Op-Amp and general purpose electronic components without a requirement to any special purpose electronic item for tracking. The design also provides an ability of monitoring the various stages using a number of LEDs distributed along the parts of the electronic circuit.

Solar energy is rapidly gaining importance as an energy resource. To make solar energy more viable, efficiency of solar panel systems must be maximized. A feasible approach to maximize the efficiency of solar panel systems is sun tracking. A solar panel receives the most sunlight when it is perpendicular to the sun’s rays. This paper is about moving a solar panel along with the direction of sunlight; it uses a geared motor to change the position of the solar panel, the motor is controlled by the PIC16F84A microcontroller, which detects the sunlight using photocells. The objective is to design and implement an automated, one-axis solar-tracking mechanism using embedded system design with minimum cost and reliable structure
