Electronic Patient Information – Pioneers and MuchMore

Abstract: Somewhat in contrast to other approaches, in the future the use of medical linguistics for the development of a successful electronic patient record should be better supported. Electronic patient information should be available wherever and whenever needed. For this, intelligent and automated reporting and controlled data exchange is necessary. The computer should do all classification, coding, and administrative work, and the physician should get all relevant information necessary for decision making.

“…The Impact of CPRs on Data Quality Today, CPRs are used first and foremost to support patient care, and are thus judged by their end users on their value for direct patient care [31,32]. However, advancing CPRs' value so as to prompt better care, coordinate care, and support medical decision making and operations and quality management, requires sufficient reuse of pre-entered patient data for multiple purposes [33]. Thus, the accuracy of CPR data is of vital importance for all health care areas [32], and measuring, characterizing and finding ways to improve the accuracy of data in CPRs is essential [34].…”
