Electronic Library of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra: problems of creation and prospects of development

Abstract

These article was explained the necessity of using new information technologies to create digital copies of documentary treasures for the purpose of ensuring their preservation. It is recognized that this area of activity is promising and requires the creation of the Electronic Library of Documentary Heritage of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. The paper substantiates the feasibility of creating this resource using the scientific potential of the National Preserve "Kiev-Pechersk Lavra".
