Electronic Fetal Monitoring—Imperfect but Opportunities for Improvement

Abstract: Being born is one of the riskiest endeavors that most of us have undertaken. For example, the risk of dying or developing cerebral palsy ranges from 1 in 500 to 1 in 1000 associated with events around the time of birth.
