Electronic and vibrational spectra of N‐heterocyclic molecules of biological interest and effect of solvents

Abstract: The infrared and Raman spectra of liquid 2,4-dirnethoxypyrimidine and solid 6-chloro-2,4-dirnethoxypyrimidine and the near ultraviolet spectra of their vapours are reported. An assignment of fundamentals is proposed. Spectra in polar solvents in the UV region are also reported and the effect of solvents is discussed.

“…Phenolphthalein was used as an indicator and value was expressed in mg/L. total hardness (TH) was determined by EDTA (Ethylene-diamine tetra acetic acid) titrimetic method (APHA, 2005), phosphate (PO 4 -P) was determined by using stannous chloride method described in APHA ( 2005), nitrate-N (NO 3 -N) was determined by phenol-disulphonic acid method spectrophotometrically Goel and Gupta (1985). Turbidity was measured by Digital Nephelo Turbidity meter-132(Systronic) and the result was expressed in NTU (Nephelo Turbidity Unit).…”
