Electron ionization mass spectra of organophosphorus compounds, Part II: Mass spectrometric fragmentation of spiro(indene‐2,3′‐pyrazole)phosphonates, spiro(indene‐2,3′‐pyrazole)phosphanylidene, spiro(1,2,4‐diazaphosphole‐3,2′‐indenes), and (1,3‐dioxo‐2H‐isoindolyl)phosphonate derivatives

Abstract: Fragmentation pathways of nine synthetic organophosphorus compounds, belonging to the following types spiro(indene‐2,3′‐pyrazole)‐ phosphanylidene, spiro(indene‐2,3′‐pyrazole)phos‐ phonates, spiro(1,2,4‐diazaphosphole‐3,2′‐indenes), and (1,3‐dioxo‐1,3‐dihydro‐2H‐isoindol‐2‐yl) phosphonates, were investigated by electron impact mass spectrometry with the aim of obtaining a better understanding of their fragmentation processes. The intensity of recorded molecular ion peaks showed various values depending on the … Show more

“…However, to our knowledge, there is no mass spectral fragmentation studies for spiro-and fused phosphorus compounds. In continuation of our work on the mass fragmentation mechanisms of the organophosphorus compounds, 16,17 a detailed study on a series of related spiro-and fused organophosphorus compounds was performed. Thus, this paper reports a study on the fragmentation mechanisms under electron ionization conditions of some organophosphorus compounds namely diethyl spiro [pyrimidino [5,3 ] [1,2]oxazole]phosphonates (1a,b and 2a,b), diethyl (oxazolo [5,4-d] pyrimidine-4,6-dione)phosphonates (3a,b and 4a,b), and diethyl (pyrimidine [4,5-b] [1,4] oxazine)phosphonates (5a,b; 6a,b; and 7a,b) ( Figure 1).…”
