Electromagnetically coupled elliptical antenna for UWB and WLAN/WiMAX systems

Abstract: An electromagnetically coupled elliptical antenna for UWB systems with a parasitic element to reject band of 5–5.9 GHz is presented. The triangular cuts in parasitic element provide a good control of bandwidth. A slot antenna inside the parasitic element has been introduced to stimulate the rejected band (5–5.9 GHz) separately. Proposed structure has printed on a substrate of FR4 with dimensions of 24 × 22.5 × 1 mm3. Measurement results prove the functionality of the proposed structure. © 2017 Wiley Periodical… Show more

“…A large and very complex radiating patch used in [3] and in [4] a CPW fed antenna using two stepped impedance resonators are presented. There were additional suggestions for some compact antennas [5][6][7][8][9][10]. In [6] a reconfigurable monopole antenna with coplanar waveguide-fed (CPW) with four Switches is illustrated.…”

“…For specific WLAN implementations, the frequency range is 5.15-5.85 GHz. Recently there have been multiple designs by innovative structures (Rezvani and Zehforoosh, 2017;Fatolahzadeh and Zehforoosh, 2017;Zehforoosh and Zavvari, 2020). The Bluetooth technology is widely used in electronic devices and is always one of the best candidates in personal area networks.…”
