Abstract:Abstract. Elastic form factors are of fundamental importance for the understanding of microscopic spatial structures. In case of the proton and the neutron, charge and magnetic form factors can be studied in elastic electron scattering. Techniques to accelerate polarised continuous electron beams, the availability of polarised targets as well as modern concepts and instrumentation for coincidence experiments and recoil polarimetry had an enormous impact on these measurements. The developments and experiments a… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
