“…Direct electrodeposition of β-PbO 2 on Ti substrates is a simple way to prepare PbO 2 electrodes. The activity of Ti/PbO 2 can be enhanced by the incorporation of some dopants, such as metal and nonmetal ions [19,20]. The introduction of F − into the Ti/PbO 2 electrode results in a notable rise for the potential of the organics degradation.…”

“…28 It may be an oxygen-containing intermediate of Pb(III), such as Pb(OH) 2+ , which desorbs from the electrode surface. 23 The electrochemical equivalent circuit as shown in Fig. 4b including: the solution resistance (R s ) related to solution conductivity, the charge transfer resistance (R ct ) linked to the reaction rate and the capacitance of the double layer (C dl ).…”

“…21 Recently, cerium has been doped into PbO 2 electrodes to enhance their electrocatalytic capacities. 22,23 In this paper, the Ce-doped PbO 2 electrodes were prepared with different cerium content. The influence of cerium on lead dioxide electrodeposition process in lead nitrate solution was investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), chronoamperometry (CA) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).…”

“…Whether or no, the activity and stability of obtained Ti/PbO 2 still needs to be improved for its practical application. To further improve its electrocatalytic activity and stability, many researchers have done a great deal of research on the modification of PbO 2 electrode, including doping of various ions (F − , Bi 3+ , Ce 3+ , Ru 3+ , Ag + , Co 2+ , Sn 4+ and Fe 3+ ) and incorporation of additives in PbO 2 coatings (TiO 2 , CeO 2 , polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polyeth‐ ylene glycol (PEG), carbon nanotube (CNT)). Based on previous reports, it is found that the reasonable modification is beneficial for improving of electrocatalytic performance of PbO 2 electrode.…”
