Electrocyclic reaction of crown-containing 2-styrylbenzothiazoles
Abstract: The photoinduced electrocyclic transformation of 15 crown 5 containing 2 styryl benzothiazoles into condensed benzothiazoloquinoline derivatives was discovered. The process is accompanied by the formation of a C-N bond and elimination of a hydrogen atom.
