Abstract:In this review, we present the development of the electrochemical synthesis of heterocyclic compounds catalyzed by transition metal salts and their complexes since 2000. The review is presented as synthesis of nitrogen and oxygen containing heterocycles. The review reflects the applications of transition metal catalysts in the synthesis of aza‐ and oxa‐heterocycles. All reactions are green since they avoid the requirement of chemical oxidants. Electricity as sole oxidant is used to regenerate the active metal … Show more
The electrochemical generation of highly active and variable free radicals for the synthesis of organic compounds has emerged as a favored approach due to its mild and environmentally friendly characteristics,...
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
