“…However, the open-circuit voltage (OCV) was only 0.77 V. 23 Wang et al synthesized Ce 0.85 Sm 0.15 O 1.925 -BaCe 0.83 Y 0.17 O 3−δ (SDC-BCY) and an MPD of 298 mW/cm 2 was obtained at 700 °C. 24 In contrast, the MPDs of the state-of-the-art pure protonconducting SOFCs have exceeded 1 W/cm 2 at 600 °C, 25 while the simple oxygen ion-conducting cells are even much higher than proton-conducting cells. 26 It can be found very clearly from these literature studies that the power output of the dual-ion-conducting SOFCs lags farther behind the PCFCs and OCFCs, making the research about the intrinsic ionic transport behaviors, which is an urgent issue since the ionic transport ability is crucial to the final cell performances.…”
