Abstract:This paper provides an overview of the study of hydrogen chemistry and transport in molten LiF-BeF 2 (FLiBe) at University of Wisconsin -Madison. Hydrogen was introduced in the salt in the form of LiH solid powders. Preliminary data shows an oxidation peak after LiH addition, attributed to the oxidation of H 2 into HF. The hydrogen oxidation reaction is studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV), linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) and chronoamperometry (CA) and approximate H 2 diffusion coefficients in FLiBe solution are … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
