Abstract: What is the most significant result of this study?Ruthenium nitrosyl (Ru-NO) compounds serve as models for biologically importantF e-containing heme-NO species. The Ru-NO analogues tend to be six-coordinate, whereas the Fe-NO heme models readilyf orm five-coordinate {FeNO} 7 species using the Enemark-Feltham notation.
