“…As the result of much higher surface area for oxygen exchange, the effect of rate determining surface exchange kinetics can be limited. Canales-Vazquez et al [33] [34][35][36], LNF cathode [37] and LSM-YSZ composites [38]. All of these materials exhibit much higher electronic conductivities, so results obtained for STFs are interesting.…”

“…The negligible change of the contact convex rings on the pre-sintered LSCF/GDC interface is consistent with the excellent mixed electronic and ionic conductivities and high electrocatalytic activity of LSCF perovskite materials for the O 2 reduction reactions at intermediate temperatures. [50][51][52][53][54][55][56] This in turn indicates that O 2 reduction reaction would occur mainly in the bulk of the electrodes away from the electrode/electrolyte interface. Figure 12a is the impedance responses of the O 2 reduction on the in situ assembled LSCF electrode on GDC electrolyte under a cathodic current of 1000 mAcm −2 at 800 • C. Despite the high polarization current, the electrode impedance of the in situ assembled LSCF behaves very similarly to that of the pre-sintered LSCF.…”

“…A-site replacement affects mainly the amount of sorbed oxygen, whereas B-site replacement influences the nature of the sorbed oxygen [115]. They have exhibited effective catalytic applications for combustion [116], natural gas PO [117], SR [118] and electrochemical reactions for SOFCs [119][120][121][122]. They have also shown great promise for ATR of hydrocarbons due to their well-known thermal stability in a broad range of temperature as well as high oxygen storage capacity (OSC) and oxygen ion conductivity [74].…”
