Electrochemical Behavior of Ethanol Oxidation on a Ti/Ru[sub 0.3]Ti[sub (0.7−x)]Sn[sub x]O[sub 2] Electrode

Abstract: The electrocatalytic oxidation of ethanol on Ti/Ru 0.3 Ti (0.7Ϫx) Sn x O 2 electrodes has been carried out in acidic medium (HClO 4 ) with the aim to investigate the selectivity of ternary oxides electrodes on ethanol oxidation. The cyclic voltammetry pattern and electrolysis results in presence of ethanol are closely related to the electrode coating preparation method and electrode composition.
