Electrochemical approach of the reductive activation of O₂ by a nonheme Fe^II complex. Some clues for the development of catalytic oxidations

Abstract

Reductive activation of O2 by an FeII complex at −650 mV vs. SCE yields an FeIII peroxo intermediate and ultimately the oxidative bromination of anisole. This reaction is in competition with the direct reduction of the reaction intermediate.
