“…Por o presente estudo ter incluído apenas voluntários saudáveis, é compreensível a diferença na incidência de eventos adversos ao compará-lo com trabalhos previamente publicados, como os de Williams et al (1963), Hasse et al (1986), Little et al (1990), Campbell et al (1996), que evidenciaram 26 a 42,5% de incidência de arritmias durante procedimentos cirúrgicos odontológicos em pacientes com antecedentes cardiovasculares. Um obstáculo a essa comparação consiste na diferença metodológica entre o presente estudo, com registros eletrocardiográficos pontuais de 12 derivações, e os trabalhos citados, que utilizaram o registro eletrocardiográfico contínuo.…”
