“…Studies indicate it not only reduces DPN symptoms but also aids in glycemic control [21][22][23][24]. EA is an extension technique based on acupuncture that combines electrical stimulation and traditional acupuncture that can be adjusted to different waveforms, frequencies, stimulation intensities and duration according to personal needs, thus improving efficacy and making it more accessible to DPN patients [25].
