Abstract: Cardiac cellular responses to acute exercise remain undescribed. We present a model for mimicking acute aerobic endurance exercise to freshly isolated cardiomyocytes by evoking exercise‐like contractions over prolonged periods of time with trains of electrical twitch stimulations.
