Abstract:SYNOPSISThe dc electrical conductivity (u) and permittivity (t') of polycarbonate (PC) discs doped with different concentrations of NiC12 are studied. Both (a) and ( t ' ) increase with increasing the concentration of NiC12, with a maximum value a t 30 wt %. The activation energies for pure and doped PC are 0.49 and 0.53 eV, respectively. The increase in the electrical conductivity with increasing NiC1, concentration is attributed to the formation of chargetransfer complexes (CTC); the increase in t' may be du… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
