“…However, despite the formation of PVDF 𝛽 crystals being promoted by using the poling-integrated 3D printing, the 𝛽phase content and piezoelectric properties of the printed sample remain relatively low. [209,212] Replacing PVDF with P(VDF-TrFE) is considered as an effective approach. For instance, Ikei et al used an in situ polarization process similar to EPAM to print and pole P(VDF-TrFE) (70/30) simultaneously.…”

“…Unfortunately, these fabrication methods have their own limitations, which make them complex and less versatile for the manufacturing of piezoelectric nanocomposites with aligned nanowires. Recently, direct-ink writing has been considered as a facile and rapid method for aligning piezoelectric nanowires in polymers. A shear-induced alignment during direct-ink writing is relatively simple to achieve without the external electric field, and various piezoelectric nanocomposites have been fabricated using appropriate control of processing conditions. , Moreover, the direct-ink writing technique is suitable for the manufacture of piezoelectric composite films due to its high efficiency and desirable structure design. , For instance, Gao et al aligned (Na,K)NbO 3 (KNN) nanowires in a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) matrix by a direct-ink writing method. The output voltage was nearly 400% higher than a spin-coated film owing to the alignment of the nanowires .…”

“…We then present a comprehensive investigation of the effect of poling on the phase composition of PVDF using the eqn (1) and (2) to determine the true content of b-phase. 41,[49][50][51] Specically, we focus on analyzing the changes in the peak intensities of the spectra obtained from these techniques: rst qualitatively to extract meaningful insights and then quantitatively using eqn (1) and ( 2). This study embarks on a pioneering exploration of the transition from the g-phase to the b-phase in PVDF, a topic that hasn't been addressed in the literature till date.…”
