Electric field dependence of thermal activation energy in poly(4TBU)/poly(methyl)methacrylate blend

Abstract: The temperature dependence of the electrical conductivity of poly(6-t-butyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-1,3benzoxazine)/poly(methyl)methacrylate blend was investigated in the sandwich cell configuration. The activation energy for electrical transport was found to undergo a transition with increasing electric field. The I-V characteristics were nonlinear and obeyed the power law I ∝ V m with m ≈ 2 at high fields. The behavior was attributed to a space charge limited conduction.
