Electric Conductivity of Fused LiNO[sub 3]-NaNO[sub 3]-KNO[sub 3] Eutectic

Abstract

Simple, sensitive reference electrodes are described for use in direct current measurement of fused salt conductivity. They consist of silver wires dipping into a very dilute solution of Ag + in the salt under investigation. The ternary eutectic of LiNOs, NaNO3, and KNO3 was chosen to demonstrate the technique. Specific conductivity of the system was measured from 134 ~ to 384~
