Electric Bus Selection with Multicriteria Decision Analysis for Green Transportation

Abstract: Multicriteria decision-making tools are widely used in complex decision-making problems. There are also numerous points of decision-making in transportation. One of these decision-making points regards clean technology vehicle determination. Clean technology vehicles, such as electric buses, have some advantages compared to other technologies like internal combustion engine vehicles. Notably, electric vehicles emit zero tailpipe emissions, thereby ensuring cleaner air for cities and making these clean technolo… Show more

“…The green terminal is part of green transportation in the development of infrastructure that can use electric vehicles as an effort to apply environmentally friendly concepts. The benefits of this technology can reduce air pollution emissions and energy efficiency, especially in densely populated areas (Hamurcu & Eren, 2020).…”

“…A methodology for bus route electrification based on a multi-objective optimization is presented in [46] and applied at the selected bus routes in the German city of Mannheim. In [47], the analytical hierarchy process method (AHP) and the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) were used for choosing the technical specifications of BEBs. The research on the BEB deployment is developed in the context of the bus fleet conversion process (to achieve as large a share of these vehicles as it is rational).…”

“…Kentsel toplu taşımayla ilgili karar vermede, ÇKKV metotları uygun bir alandır. Çünkü özel sektör ve kamu sektörü gibi kentsel yolcu taşımacılığının tasarımı ve işletilmesinde çok sayıda faktör yer almaktadır (Hamurcu ve Eren, 2020).…”
