Elder Care

Abstract: Elder care is assistance provided to an older adult because of that person's chronic health problem or disability. Care tasks may include household work, indoor and outdoor home maintenance, banking and financial management, personal care, and care management. In developed countries, elder care is most often provided to those in advanced age as the onset of age‐related chronic illnesses is prevalent after the age of 75.
