“…The technique, known as 'magneto-TGA', involves using an externally applied inhomogeneous magnetic field in an otherwise standard TGA measurement to provide an additional downwards magnetic force on a sample that then allows for the Curie temperature (T C ) of the sample to be established [44]. If there are changes in the magnetic state of the sample during heating there will be a change in the force exerted on it and thus a change in the apparent mass, in addition to any changes in the physical mass of the sample.…”
