El Estrés y Burnout percibidos en docentes colombianos en el regreso a la presencialidad en las aulas. Un estudio exploratorio

Abstract

Background:The return to the classrooms of Preschool, Basic and Secondary Education in Colombia after the confinement due to the Covid-19 pandemic has been accompanied by situations of student coexistence that affect not only the functioning of the Educational Institutions, but also the teachers who, for society, are responsible for the various events in the school. The objective of this research is to determine the level of disturbance of these situations, including the administrative one, on teachers in relation to Role Stress and Burnout. Method: The study is observational, descriptive-correlational, and crosssectional, with a convenience sample of 98 teachers from the country. The Teacher Burnout Questionnaire (CBP-R) was used to collect data. Results: The results show a 70% prevalence of Burnout between mild and extreme levels, a 95% prevalence of Role Stress at the same levels, and a correlation between the variables of stress and burnout with variables of the work and organizational environment and with some sociodemographic variables. Conclusions: The study provides an initial view of the symptoms, so new research can broaden the perspective and propose solutions to the problem.Antecedentes: El regreso a la presencialidad en las aulas de Educación Preescolar, Básica y Media en Colombia, después del confinamiento debido a la pandemia por Covid-19, ha venido acompañada de situaciones de convivencia de los y las estudiantes que afectan no solo el funcionamiento de las Instituciones Educativas, sino que presionan a los docentes que, en estas circunstancias, se convierten para la sociedad, en responsables de los diversos acontecimientos en la escuela. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo determinar el nivel de afectación que estas circunstancias, incluyendo lo administrativo, tienen los/las profesores frente al Estrés de Rol y el Burnout. Método: El estudio es observacional, descriptivo-correlacional, transversal, con una muestra a conveniencia de 98 docentes del país. Para la recolección de información se utilizó el Cuestionario de Burnout del Profesorado (CBP-R). Resultados: Los resultados muestran una prevalencia de Burnout del 70% entre niveles Leve y Extremo, un 95% de prevalencia del Estrés de Rol, en los mismos niveles, correlación entre las variables de estrés y Burnout con las del ámbito laboral, organizacional y con algunas variables sociodemográficas. Conclusiones: El estudio permite una visión inicial de los síntomas, de manera que nuevas investigaciones amplíen la perspectiva y permitan proponer soluciones a la problemática.
