Eksperimenter og politologisk forskning: Muligheder og begrænsninger

Abstract: The past years have witnessed a boom in the use of experiments within political science. Until then, politi- cal science has only reluctantly accepted experiments in its methodological toolbox, while the neighboring disciplines – economics and psychology – have used them extensively for a long time. is article does two things. “…It should be noted that even though the general consensus is that Mytilus prefers to settle and thrive on hard or filamentous substrates, it is also common in Denmark to find Mytilus beds on soft bottom substrates in sheltered or deep areas with low physical exposure (Nielsen et al 2015). The findings in this paper therefore reflect the challenges when establishing beds at shallow locations with exposure to wave impacts, which are prevalent in many coastal areas.…”

“…Based on landing records of Mytilus edulis the estuary historically had a large population with yearly landings between 640 and 7240 t/year in the period 1994–1999 (data from the Danish Fisheries Agency). Landings have since decreased due to new regulations (Nielsen et al 2015) and presumably a decrease in the population of Mytilus . Since 2017, the commercial fishery after Mytilus has not been conducted within the estuary.…”

“…Another study in Australia indicated that building defects contribute 4% of the total construction costs [2]. In 2004, a study in Denmark showed that reworking building defects cost about 1.6 billion euro, which was 10% of the sector's turnover [3]. According to SINTEF, the cost of repairing building defects in Norway accounts for between 2% and 6% of the annual capital invested in new buildings [4].…”
