Einfache Synthese von (η2‐Ethen)bis(triphenylphosphan)platin(0)

Abstract: Simple Synthesis of (I*-Ethene)bis(triphenylphosphane)platinum(O)The title compound 2 is easily accessible through reduction of dichlorobis(tripheny1phosphane)-platinum(I1) (1) with sodium tetrahydridoborate in ethanol under ethene pressure or without pressure in methylene chloride/ethanol. No nitrogen atmosphere or purified solvents are necessary.

“…Materials: Hexamethyldistannane 2 was used as a commercial product, and the other starting materials such as 1, [14] 3, [12a] and 4 [15,16] were prepared following literature procedures. The bis(triphenylphosphane)platinum complexes 5 a [2] and 6 a [5] had been obtained before from the reaction of 1 with 2 and 3, respectively.…”

“…The C O signals appear at about δ = 186.0-193.5 and are shifted downfield in contrast to those in the uncoordinated dithioacids [7,[9][10][11]. Table 3 illustrates the different 13 C NMR signals and the coupling constants of the methine carbon atom.…”
