Weizenstroh wurde 410Tage der Verrottung ausgesetzt. Von &it zu Zeit wurden Proben entnommen und daraus nach verschiedenen Methoden Lignin und HuminsBuren extrahiert. Mit der Verrottung nimmt in den Ligninen der Gehalt an C und an OCHpGruppen ab, der Gehalt an 0 und N, an C=O-Gruppen, an titrierbaren sauren Gruppen und an decarboxylierbaren Gruppen nimmt zu. Die IR-Spektren zeigen entsprechende VerPnderung. Ein Vergleich dieser Daten mit denen der Huminstiuren lB0t den SchluB zu, da0 sich das Lignin bei der Verrottung des Strohs allmlhlich in Huminsauren umwandelt.Die Ergebnisse zahlreicher infrarotspektroskopischer Arbeiten 2) deuten darauf hin, dal3 Lignin und Huminsiiuren aus ahnlichen Atomgruppen aufgebaut sind. Auch ergeben natiirliche Huminsiiuren bei verschiedenen Abbaureaktionth zum Teil die gleichen Spaltprodukte wie Lignin, so z. B. Rotocatechustiure und Brenzcatechid), Vanillin4) und Cyclohexanolderivate~). Obwohl Lignin durch akiiische Oxydation im Autoklaven in huminsiiurethliche Produkte iibergefuhrt werden kanns), ist es bisher nicht gelungen, schonend isoliertes Lignin a d biologischem Wege in Huminsiiuren umzuwandeln7). In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurde untersucht, wie sich das Lignin in der Pflanze bei der Verrottung verandert. GEWMNUNO DER LIGNINE UND HUMINSXUREN Weizenstroh wurde in einem thermokonstanten Raum bei 28" unter Zusatz einer Ntihrlosung 410Tage der aeroben Verrottung unterworfen. Das Lignin wurde in verschiedenen Zeitabstslnden isoliert und mit den neugebildeten Huminsiiuren verglichen. Bei den in der Literatur beschriebenen Untersuchungen iiber die Zersetzung von Pflanzenresten verschiedenster Herkunft wurde die Ligninfraktion vor allem nach dem Schwefelsiiureverfahrena) isoliert.
