Analysis of Resistance to Eyespot in Wheat Using Small Seed‐Samples

“…For the second experiment, the method of FRAUENSTEIN and ROSKOTHEN (1979) was improved in some details to allow a simple and rapid testing, but, nevertheless, a representative ranking of the Analysis of Resistance to Eyespot in Wheat Using Small Seed-Sampies 71 above mentioned hosts: 15 seeds of each cultivar/line (desinfected by placing them into a solution of NaOCl for 15 minutes) were laid on moistened filter paper (60 x 16 cm). One cm away from each wheat grain, one oat kernel was placed which had been infeaed by PseudocercosporeUa herpotrichoides.…”
