The molecule does not exhibit any crystallographic symmetry. The fused ring system is almost perfectly planar. The angle between the least-squares planes through the pentafluorophenyl groups is 81.26 (6) . The molecule shows chemical but not crystallographic C 2 symmetry. The 1,3-dioxane rings adopt chair conformations. The central C atom is in a distorted tetrahedral environment of four O atoms.
