Eğitici oyunların Türkçe öğrenen Suriyeli öğrencilerin yazma becerisine etkisi

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the effect of educational games on writing skills of 5th grade Syrian students who learn Turkish. In the study, random design with pretest and post-test control group was used. The study group consists of 5th grade Syrian students studying in a secondary school in Antakya, Hatay. A total of 44 students, 22 in the experimental group and 22 in the control group, participated in the study. A "rubric" developed by the researcher was used for the collect of the study. The obtained data were analyzed by non-parametric statistical technique Mann Whitney U Test and Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. As a result of the study, it was determined that writing skills of 5th grade Syrian students who learn Turkish did not show a significant difference between experimental and control groups. It was seen that educational games applied to the experimental group had a positive effect on the writing skills of the Syrian students.
