Abstract:A stability analysis of free running oscillators in the frequency domain is presented. By insertion of a simple damping subnetwork, depending on one parameter, a global stability analysis starting in a Hopf bifurcation is performed. Near the bifurcation, stability of a periodic orbit is determined by studying stability of the stationary solutions. Provided turning and bifurcation points are detected, stability is thus known on the whole path connecting the Hopf bifurcation and the solution of the undamped osci… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
