Efficient outage probability evaluation of diversity receivers over α-μ fading channels

Abstract: In this paper, we are interested in determining the cumulative distribution function of the sum of α − µ random variables in the setting of rare event simulations. To this end, we present an efficient importance sampling estimator. The main result of this work is the bounded relative error property of the proposed estimator.
