“…In the reverse scan direction, a 19.5 % PCE was achieved, yielding a J SC of 23.4 mA cm -2 , V OC of 1.12 V, and FF of 0.74. Negligible J-V hysteresis was observed in this type of devices as the PCE obtained from the forward scan (19.2%) was almost the same as that from reverse scan which indicates the successful morphology control and is in agreement with previous studies from our laboratories 19 and others. 4 These results, add more suspense to the origin of hysteresis 31 and preclude the necessity of n-type PCBM to eliminate the hysteresis effect.…”

“…The dependence of J SC and FF on the PbI 2 content is different from the behavior observed when extra PbI 2 is added to the precursor solution, where no significant change is observed over a large range of PbI 2 excess contents. 19 The PbI 2 generated in-situ at high temperature above 100 o C reduces J SC and FF very quickly. When the film is annealed at 180 o C, prominent PbI 2 phase is observed as indicated by the slight color bleaching and the strong XRD diffraction peak of PbI 2 .…”

“…[4,40] The latest records that have surpassed the 20% PCE barrier followed an approach using a mixture of solvents (4:1 DMF:DMSO, which would result in a molar ratio between DMSO:PbI 2 of ≈2:1) and the CB antisolvent method, while mixing three to four different cations and two halides. [4,41] The impact of solvents on the perovskite film morphology was further investigated by post-deposition solvent annealing. [23] …”

“…Since the first attempt using perovskite as light absorber in photovoltaic cells,2 tremendous progress has been made on PSCs with a certified power conversion efficiency (PCE) exceeding 20% 3. The impressive efficiency of PSCs is mostly attributed to merits of perovskite, such as broad absorption with large absorption coefficient, ambipolar charge transport with high mobility, as well as long electron/hole diffusion length.…”
