Purpose. Study of the effectiveness of topographical survey methods when solving the main tasks of surveying support for the disturbed lands reclamation.Methods. Comparative analysis of the topographical survey results, which was conducted with the use of electronic total station and a surface laser scanner during reclamation. The heap leaching dump at the Belaya Gorka Site of the Rodnikovoye Field has been chosen as an object for topographical survey. To compare adequately, the electronic total station and the laser scanner were chosen of the same accuracy class. The determination of the values accuracy of the area and volume of an object during a tacheometric survey depends on the discreteness of surveying pickets. In practice, the density of the pickets' arrangement is limited by the working capacity of the surveying crew, which, as a rule, is several hundred pickets per day, and the density is two or three survey points per 100 m 2 of the object. To determine the dependence of measurement accuracy on the pickets' density during the tacheometric survey, it was carried out at four different scales, with the distance between the pickets from 5 to 25 meters. The density of points (pickets) of a surface laser scanner, which was used in the studies, is 500 points per 100 m 2 of survey area. Findings.Based on the results of the tacheometric survey and surface laser scanning of the heap leaching dump, two variants of the topographic maps of the surface and its smoothed digital model have been obtained. Detailed surface laser scanning at an increased level in comparison with a tacheometric survey improves the topographic map accuracy. Improved accuracy when determining the volume on a survey scale of 1:500 -1:2000 is 12%.Originality. A new concept for topographical surveying is proposed when solving the surveying problems of reclaiming the disturbed lands, based on the methods of surface laser scanning.Practical implications. Use of the surface laser scanning technology makes possible to obtain the prompt threedimensional visualization of the surveyed area, to ensure high accuracy and degree of detailed survey, to increase the working capacity and field surveying conditions, to solve the main tasks of surveying support of the disturbed lands reclamation in the shortest possible time and with the required surveying quality.

Purpose. Determination and substantiation of the hydromechanization technologies parameters and the hydraulic transport operation modes for mining the technogenic deposits formed as a result of the enrichment waste storing in tailing dumps of mining and processing enterprises. Methods. A comprehensive multi-stage analytical approach has been used in a paper when performing research. Initially, in order to substantiate the hydromechanization technologies parameters, the parameters of the pulp-preparation unit have been analytically determined in this paper, which are limited by the value of the upper dam edge, taking into account the types of hydraulic mixture. At the second stage, dependences have been set for calculating the critical velocity of hydraulic transporting the pulps with different concentration (low, mean, and high). The next research stage was to determine the head and rate specification (HRS) of the hydrotransport pipeline and the required capacity of the hydraulic mixture, which will enable substantiating the parameters for the corresponding mining complex in the technogenic deposits development. Findings. A critical pipeline diameter has been set with the prescribed parameters of the mining complex and the adopted pulp preparation system. Dependences have been found for calculating the critical velocity of hydraulic transportation of mean-and highly-concentrated pulps. The head and rate specifications have been determined of the tailing hydrotransport pipeline. Originality. For the first time it has been revealed that the critical diameter value is determined by the product of two termsthe first one takes into account the effect of the mining complex productivity, and the secondthe dependence on the pulp preparation system parameters. This makes possible to control the parameters and modes of hydromechanization technologies when mining technogenic deposits formed as a result of storing the enrichment waste in tailing ponds. Practical implications. The "Recommendations for substantiating the parameters of the processes of accumulating capacity restoring of a pond with the use of hydromechanization devices" and "Methods for calculating the parameters for hydraulic transportation of highly-concentrated hydraulic mixtures", have been developed, which may be useful for design organizations and mining-metallurgical enterprises to provide additional volumes of raw material output and increase the tailing ponds lifetime.

The anthropogenic load on natural environment has reached a level that threatens the population health. The main causes of water sources pollution are the discharge of untreated or insufficiently treated wastewaters by industrial enterprises. These and other reasons lead to the spread of various types of diseases among the population. A cause-and-effect relationship between the qualitative and quantitative state of the surface waters of the Samara River and certain diseases of the population living in the Western Donbas region has been established. The method of statistical analysis based on Pearson correlation has been applied. Reliable correlation between the pollutants content in surface waters of Samara River and the increase of the population diseases in the investigated territory has been proven. With high degree of probability, the following diseases are closely related to water quality: diseases of the blood, hematopoietic organs and disorders of immune system; diseases of endocrine system, digestive and metabolic disorders; circulatory system and digestion diseases; diseases of the skin and subcutaneous tissues. The obtained results indicate the need for further research taking into consideration the regional specificity of conditions and factors of environmental pollution, development of advanced water treatment to reduce the morbidity rate of the population.
