Efficient ℓ q regularisation algorithm with range–azimuth decoupled for SAR imaging

Abstract: The synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging methods based on compressive sensing endure great computational complexity since they have to deal with a large measurement matrix when processing the raw data. An efficient ℓq regularisation algorithm for SAR imaging is proposed, which uses a decoupling operator constructed by means of chirp scaling. It can reduce the computational complexity from the square order to the linear logarithm order compared with the conventional ℓq regularisation‐based imaging algorithm w… Show more

“…In [9,10], the approximated observation operators were proposed, which reduce the computational complexity and memory cost dramatically, and thus can be applied in high-dimensional cases efficiently. The approximated observation-based method proposed in [9] was called “range-azimuth decoupled method” in [10].…”

“…It makes these SRAs not suitable to reconstruct large-scale observed scenes. To solve this problem, several efficient approximated observation methods have been proposed, such as range-Doppler and chirp-scaling operators [7,8]. Since both of them are deduced from the FFT-based imaging technology, their validity is limited by observation models of the radar and motion modes of the platform.…”
