Efficient key management scheme for health blockchain

Abstract: Healthcare is a big application scenario of blockchain, and blockchains used in healthcare are called health blockchain. In general, blockchain blocks are open and the transactions in them are public. If some privacy data are involved in these transactions, they will be leaked. Owing to healthcare system involving a great deal of privacy data, certain security mechanisms must be built to protect these privacy data in health blockchain. Furthermore, because the core of security mechanisms is the key management … Show more

“…This party is never able to get granted again as its identity is compromised, which is unreasonable. A key management with an account recovery scheme could be an applicable solution to deal with this situation although it is expected to be much complicated to integrate the recovery scheme with a BC system [50]. Another security threat comes from poor quality code in SCs which exposes vulnerabilities to be exploited.…”

“…The nodes in the simulated are located in 1000 × 1000 2 area. Performance of the consensus mechanism is estimated considering a variable number of nodes 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500 and a variable number of clusters such as 5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45 and 50 respectively for each group of nodes. The member nodes within a cluster can directly send or receive data to/from a cluster head.…”

“…Blockchain-based ehealth architectures [1,15,16] have been designed to manage health data autonomously. Further, distributed ledger technology, popularly known as Blockchain, has also been investigated to manage user's identity [17], metadata [18], share, and maintain logs of medical records [19] and patient key management [20] [21]. For instance, MedRec [19], a prototype of a decentralized Blockchain architecture, was first implemented to contribute to an interoperable EHR system.…”
