Efficient Intelligent Energy Routing Protocol in Wireless Sensor Networks

Abstract: In wireless sensor networks energy is a very important issue because these networks consist of lowpower sensor nodes. This paper proposes a new protocol to reach energy efficiency. The protocol has a different priority in energy efficiency as reducing energy consumption in nodes, prolonging lifetime of the whole network, increasing system reliability, increasing the load balance of the network, and reducing packet delays in the network. In the new protocol is proposed an intelligent routing protocol algorithm.… Show more

“…This is a method for energy efficiency in the WSNs so it can avoid unnecessary consumption of energy in each node and this will cause to prolonging lifetime of the network. A sensor node has three main parts as sensing unit (S.U), processing unit (P.U) and transmission unit (T.U) [2]. Generally, T.U and S.U can sleep but P.U is always on in the all conditions.…”

“…Khalil and Bara'a [5] proposed a new protocol named stable-aware evolutionary routing protocol and ensured maximum stability and minimum instability periods for both homogeneous/heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). Shi et al [6] proposed an efficient data-driven routing protocol to address this problem. The design objective is to effectively reduce the protocol overhead for data gathering in wireless sensor networks with mobile sinks.…”

“…However, the routing of data is possible without the use of clusters, but the need for a complete routing table of each node is necessary, which does not stretch across a large number of sensor nodes. Hence, the usefulness of clustering is vital to insure an efficient routing [5][6][7][8][9] another hand, the nodes distribution and density have an important influence on network scalability [10]. In fact, the scalability is a significant issue of an efficient routing protocol for WSN.…”
