Efficient Decolorization and Degradation of Amaranth Azo Dye via Photoelectrocatalytic Processes

Abstract: This work assesses the electrocatalytic (EC), photocatalytic (PC), and photoelectroncatalytic degradation (PEC) of Amaranth azo dye with ammonium persulfate (APS). The results were observed that the photoelectrocatalytic degradation technique more efficient than other techniques. The effects of operational parameters such as initial pH and APS concentrations on color removal efficiency were investigated.
