Abstract: Flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD), an essential cofactor in cellular metabolism, catalyses a wide range of redox reactions. The organic synthesis of FAD is typically conducted by coupling flavin mononucleotide (FMN) and adenosine monophosphate.
