Efficiency of micropollutant removal through artificial recharge and riverbank filtration: case studies of Káraný, Czech Republic and Dresden-Hosterwitz, Germany

Abstract: The aim of the study was to compare the e ciency of pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCP) removal in the waterworks Káraný (Czech Republic) and Dresden-Hosterwitz (Germany). Both waterworks use a similar technology of drinking water production (combination of bank ltration and arti cial recharge) and have similar river water quality (Jizera and Elbe river).
