Efficiency Assessment of Resilience Engineering in Process Industries Using Data Envelopment Analysis Based on Type-2 Fuzzy Sets

Abstract: Process industries have the talent of emerging high levels of turbulent behaviors and uncertainties, such as the leakage of toxic substances and explosive materials. Resilience engineering, as a novel approach, can run the effects of such actions. Resilience engineering factors involve culture, change management, knowledge acquisition, risk assessment, readiness, plasticity, reportage, the obligation of a top manager, consciousness, safety procedures, incident survey, employee participation, and competence. “…Although the performance of the algorithm proposed in this paper is superior, the algorithm still has the problems of high computational complexity and high overhead in the actual system. erefore, the above problems need to be solved in the future [21][22][23][24][25].…”

“…The two-stage network DEA is used in various real-life applications, such as banks, insurance companies, educational institutes, water and land, and many others studied by researchers in the literature [35] , [47] , [48] . Therefore, our proposed methodology applies to several real-life problems, considering shared inputs and intermediate measures, undesirable outputs produced by each stage, accessible inputs consumed by the second stage, and free outputs produced by the first stage.…”

“…It is essential to uplift the SCR of these industries to stabilize the economy during uncertainties (Manna, 2010). The weaker links of a network and root causes of the repetitive and critical problems resulting in performance decline or bottlenecks need to be identified to minimize or eliminate the recurrence of a problem (Crichton et al, 2009;Namvar and Bamdad, 2021). Identifying and working on the critical parameters to achieving resilience is necessary.…”
