While there are limited data published on OTC pharmacokinetics in crustaceans (Reed, Siewicki & Shah 2006; Poapolathep, Poapolathep, Jermnak, Imsilp, Wannapat, Sugita‐Konishi & Kumagai 2008; Rosenblum, Robbins, Scott, Nelson, Juhasz, Craigmill, Tjeerdema, Moore & Friedman 2008), there are no reports for E. sinensis . Additionally, to reduce the risk of exposure of consumers to antibiotic residues in edible tissues, farmers need advice on the withdrawal period needed when antibiotics have to be used in the culture.…”
